The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed House Joint Resolution 1003 Feb. 18 by a wide margin, 83 to 13, resolving, "That the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States."

The language of HJR 1003 further serves notice to the federal government "to cease and desist, effectively immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers."

The sponsor of the resolution, state Rep. Charles Key, told WND the measure was a 'big step toward addressing the biggest problem we have in this countrythe federal government violating the supreme law of the land."

"The Constitution either means what it says, or it doesn't mean anything at all," Key said. "The federal government must honor and obey the Constitution, just like the states and this citizens of this country are obligated to do, or our system of government begins to fall apart."

The Ninth Amendment reads, "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." The Tenth Amendment specifically provides, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

As WND reported, eight states have introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution: Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Washington.

Analysts expect 12 additional states may see similar measures introduced this year, including Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Nevada, Maine and Pennsylvania.

... meanwhile, Philip J. Berg, a Democrat who served as deputy attorney general in Pennsylvania and now is leading a number of lawsuits over the eligibility of President Barack Obama to occupy the Oval Office, has just suggested Barack Hussein Obama should be deported as an illegal alien!

UPDATE: On the heels of two active duty members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq calling for President Obama to prove his eligibility to be president, a retired major general has agreed to join the case, saying he just wants "the truth."

Israeli President Shimon Peres chooses Benjamin Netanyahu giving him six weeks to put together a ruling coalition.

The question now is whether Netanyahu will form a narrow government with his hard-line allies or a broad government along with his centrist rival, Kadima Party leader Tzipi Livni. His choice will have serious ramifications for the Mideast peace process.

Peres made his announcement early Friday afternoon after holding meetings with Netanyahu and Livni. An official ceremony appointing Netanyahu was to be held shortly afterward.

Ramos, Compean freed from prison
Congressman calls for probe of prosecutor, role of Mexico

Convicted former Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were released from federal prison this morning and are en route to join their families in El Paso, Texas.

Characterizing Ramos and Compean's incarceration as a "political prosecution," Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, called for a congressional investigation into alleged prosecutorial misconduct by El Paso U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton under the direction of Bush administration Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Poe also called for an investigation into the alleged role of the Mexican government in demanding that Ramos and Compean be prosecuted.

"As soon as President Bush commuted Ramos and Compean's sentences, the Mexican government registered a large protest," Poe noted.

"In their protest, the Mexican government admitted their involvement in the case without specifying what their involvement was," he added.

"So I think the first order of business is for the U.S. Congress to investigate what role the Mexican government had in demanding the Bush administration prosecute this case," he insisted. "Mexico should not be meddling into U.S. criminal cases."

Once Again - The Vatican Has Some 'Splaining' To Do

After Awkwardly Handling the Holocaust Denying Bishop Problem; the Roman Church Is Now Not Sure It Believes God Created the Universe!

I have to ask the question: Is the Roman Church Still Christian? I'm beginning to believe the answer is a resounding NO! Catholics need to think seriously about this one.

The Science Channel is one of my favorites. I'm a "believer" in Science. Science comes up with theories and hypothesis' and eventually works out the details. As a Christian, I believe Science is not the enemy of God, but man's way of logically explaining and understanding God's handiwork.
Darwinism, or the Theory of Evolution, is one such work in progress. I personally see no problem with God creating "evolution" to handle growth and change for the purpose of species survival. I also have no problem believing in Adam and Eve and the creation story of Genesis. The differences between the two ideas have much to do with time dating differences. When you're dealing with an All-Powerful, All-Knowing God things can be done in any way He chooses. I also realize some of my Christian friends will argue with me over this, and that's fine.

Taking a different track than mine, the Roman Catholic Church (the Vatican) has just officially made Darwinism it's method for explaining all of human development.

"A leading official declared yesterday that Darwin’s theory of evolution was compatible with Christian faith, and could even be traced to St Augustine and St Thomas Aquinas. “In fact, what we mean by evolution is the world as created by God,” said Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi, head of the Pontifical Council for Culture. The Vatican also dealt the final blow to speculation that Pope Benedict XVI might be prepared to endorse the theory of Intelligent Design, whose advocates credit a “higher power” for the complexities of life."

The Vatican and I were very close to the same thinking until that last bit. Ahh! There's more ...

Organisers of a papal-backed conference next month marking the 150th anniversary of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species said that at first it had even been proposed to ban Intelligent Design from the event, as “poor theology and poor science”. Intelligent Design would be discussed at the fringes of the conference at the Pontifical Gregorian University, but merely as a “cultural phenomenon”, rather than a scientific or theological issue, organisers said.

Did you catch that? "Intelligent Design" will not even be considered as a theological issue! That means, without any doubt, that the Roman Church denies that God (Jesus) created the Universe! The Bible is very clear on this, folks. God (Jesus) is the Creator. Anyone or anything that denies Jesus (God) IS ANTI-CHRIST!

Geert Wilders is deported from England for daring to tell the truth about radical Islam.

It was a watershed moment of capitulation.

On Thursday, February 12, visiting Dutch politician Geert Wilders was humiliatingly bundled back on to a plane to his native Holland shortly after arriving in London. Wilders had been invited to show his controversial, 17-minute documentary film, Fitna, in Britain’s House of Lords but was warned in a letter from the British Home Office last Tuesday he would be denied entry to the country. As reasons for his being declared persona non grata, Wilders was told in the letter he would “threaten community harmony and therefore public security.” The directive never stated, however, that the statements Wilders made in Fitna are false or misleading in any way.

A Muslim lord, Nazir Ahmed, and other Muslim leaders had vigorously protested Wilders’ visit, causing an initial invitation to be rescinded. It was reported that Ahmed had even threatened to mobilize 10,000 fellow Muslims to block Wilders from entering Westminster, a report Ahmed now denies. A cooler-headed peer, Lord Pearson, appalled at this attack on free speech, reissued the invitation to Wilders.

Daring the British government to put him in handcuffs, Wilders defiantly flew to Heathrow airport with the new invitation in his pocket. During the flight, Wilders expressed his opinion of Britain’s Labour government and its attempt to block his entry, telling the TimesOnline that it was now “more Chamberlain than Churchill.”

Atheists Know They're Wrong - They Already Intuitively Know God Exists - That's Why They Get So Angry!

"Atheists don't hate fairies, leprechauns, or unicorns because they don't exist," writes Comfort. "It is impossible to hate something that doesn't exist. And that makes the point."

In a new book sure to push the buttons of atheists, one of the most prominent evangelists in the world today charges God deniers actually know they are wrong.

of Charles Darwin, contends atheists hate God because he does exist.

"Atheists don't hate fairies, leprechauns, or unicorns because they don't exist," writes Comfort. "It is impossible to hate something that doesn't exist. And that makes the point."

In "You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence but You Can't Make Him Think," Comfort, the author of 60 books and the co-host with actor Kirk Cameron, star of the hit movie "Fireproof," of a weekly television show about personal evangelism, offers a different approach to engaging atheists in dialogue.


"We don't have to prove that God exists to the professing atheist," he writes. "This is because he intuitively knows that He exists. Every person has a God-given conscience. The Bible tells us that this is the 'work of the law written on their hearts.' Just as every sane human being knows that it's wrong to lie, steal, kill and commit adultery, he knows that God should be first in his life."

Autographed copies of Ray Comfort's new book, published by WND Books, are available exclusively in WND's online superstore.

Comfort says it's not just the testimony of the conscience at work in all people, but also the testimony of creation, which declares the glory of God, "and the person who denies the voice of conscience and the voice of creation is without excuse."

"If death seizes upon him and he is still in his sins, he will face the wrath of a holy Creator, whether he believes in Him or not," continues Comfort. "This is why I don't spend too much time trying to convince anyone that there is a God. To do so is to waste time and energy. Sinners don't need convincing that God exists; they need convincing that sin exists and that they are in terrible danger."


Nevertheless, Comfort will be debating atheists on national television and radio programs beginning today. Ironically, his book boasts a preface from avowed atheist Darrin Rasberry, who openly challenges readers to "prove Ray wrong."

In 2006, Ray Comfort made national headlines when U.S. Secret Service agents conducted a raid and seized a stock of Gospel tracts produced by his ministry, alleging they were counterfeit currency. The tracts came in the form of $1 million bills – a denomination not produced by the U.S. Mint. In a related matter, a Pittsburgh man was arrested for handing one of the tracts to a grocery store cashier in an act of evangelism.

"I'm not going to stop printing them," Comfort said. "How can you possibly counterfeit something that is not real – a $1 million bill?"


One side of the tract is designed like an imaginary $1 million bill. The other side has the gospel message written around the border. It also includes this message: "The million dollar question: Will you go to Heaven? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself – 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.' Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it."

The tracts are also clearly marked on the front: "This bill is not legal tender."

Ford Says Car Industry Sales Stabilizing

CHICAGO -- An executive at Ford Motor Co. said the nation's automobile industry is beginning to stabilize, after months of freefalling sales which have threatened the viability of some of the sector's biggest players.

Jim Farley, Ford's global marketing chief, said Wednesday that seasonally adjusted retail sales demand has held steady for the past four months. Meanwhile, the country's used car market has come "roaring back" since January.

"That shows me that credit's available," he said, following a Ford presentation at the Chicago Auto Show. "When we're seeing the kind of growth in the used car market that we've seen in the last six weeks, that is a really important milestone for the bottoming out of the industry."

But on the heels of another calamitous month for the sector — U.S. new car and truck sales fell 37 percent in January, hurt especially by poor sales to rental car companies — few are willing to say whether or not the industry's seen the worst of the recession's impact.

Still, auto industry analyst Erich Merkle said he thinks the industry may have reached finally reached a tentative plateau, particularly if labor markets can stabilize.

"We're really at that crucial inflection point right now," he said. "And with all the money right now that's being pumped into the system ... I think that we'll start to see some revival in our economy and we'll start to see sales on a sequential basis exceed that of the first quarter."

But that doesn't mean the sector is headed toward a substantial rebound just yet.

"I think what we're going to do here for the next couple of months is trace along the bottom," he said. "And as we get to the second half, we'll see some improvement."

Meanwhile, Ford's Farley wouldn't give detail on how February sales are shaping up, but said sales so far are mirroring trends seen last month.

"It seems like we're kind of humming along at the same pace this month," he said.

In January, Ford said its U.S. sales fell 40 percent, but sales of its F-series pickup trucks and Fusion midsize sedan helped the company post its fourth consecutive month of higher retail market share. Ford said it sold 93,060 light vehicles in the U.S. last month, compared with 155,832 in January 2008. Light vehicle sales exclude heavy trucks.

Farley's comments came as the Dearborn, Mich.-based automaker introduced its latest in a series of new products, including a Harley-Davidson F-150 truck, Transit Connect, a small commercial van that has had success in Europe and a newly revamped 2010 Taurus.

The Super High Output (SHO) Taurus is equipped with 365 horsepower and a V6 engine. With Ford's EcoBoost technology, the direct injection, turbocharged engine allows drivers to experience V8 engine power, but with V6 fuel economy, the company said.

Ford shares climbed a penny to $1.83 in afternoon trading Wednesday.

President Obama's proposed economic stimulus plan makes a deliberate – and unconstitutional – attempt to censor religious speech and worship on school campuses across the nation, according to a lawyer who argued related cases before the U.S. Supreme Court 20 years ago and won them all.

"This isn't like a convenient oversight. This is intentional. This legislation pokes its finger in the eyes of people who hold religious beliefs," Jay Sekulow, chief of the American Center for Law and Justice, told WND today.

... The wording that specifically targets religious speech already has been approved by the majority Democrats in the U.S. House – all GOP members opposed it. In the Senate, Jim DeMint, R-S.C., proposed an amendment to eliminate it, but again majority Democrats decided to keep the provision targeting religious instruction and activities.

DeMint warned organizations such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Crusade for Christ, Catholic Student Ministries, Hillel and other religious groups would face new bans on access to public facilities that would not apply to other organizations.

"This is a direct attack on students of faith, and I'm outraged Democrats are using an economic stimulus bill to promote discrimination," DeMint said. "Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for siding with the ACLU over millions of students of faith."

While we get nothing but FEARMONGERING from Barry, the AP is reporting; "Members of Congress were quick to shame corporate executives for over-the-top extravagance during the economic crisis, flying private jets and taking luxury junkets. But some lawmakers are strolling fancy resorts spending tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars and mingling with lobbyists."

Laurie Kellman of the Associated Press continues: "If it's a luxurious setting or if there's particularly high level entertainment, then they are running into the same problem," said Meredith McGehee of the Campaign Legal Center, a government ethics watchdog group. "They don't get that these are tough economic times, that Americans are struggling and they need to do their part."

... the Democrats, adopting the same behavior the Republicans have used during the last 8 years, simply don't get it and will never get it. Some of the Republicans have finally awakened to reality (much too late, I'm afraid) and are fighting the Dem's intense effort to balloon government growth and spending.

The great irony of all this is that Barry may be right! - we may not recover! But it will happen because of government involvement in the private sector. Barry will cause his own words to be true; all the while, his approval ratings will continue to spiral down! You should have stayed in Kenya, "Mr. President" You want "transparency"?
