Jihad moving to Jordan, Syria and Israel

Al-Qaeda Heads to Israel? By Dore Gold and Lt. Col. (res.) Jonathan D. Halevi

The authors document Al-Zarqawi’s history, terror connections and make a compelling case that he will move the war into Jordan, Syria and Israel.

I agree. It's very logical that being defeated in Iraq and desperate for success and to bolster recruiting, al-Qaeda will turn its attention to the middle east. Syria and Jordan are secular targets and of course anti-Zionism is the common thread throughout the Wahhabi driven Muslim world.

Although about six pages long, this is must reading for the weekend.

I think they are already familiar with Jihad in Israel. So what you are saying is that the terrorist are going back to where they came from since there were no terrorist threats in Iraq until we created them.

We did not create the terrorists. Imam's preaching virulent hatred for the last 20 years did. Our presence in Iraq drew them just as they were drawn to Afghanistan. Were we not in Iraq, there would have been more jihadis in Afghanistan. The Baathist thugs were created by Saddam and Company before we got to Iraq.

No offense, personaly, toad734, after all, Blogs are here for folks to sound off, but ...

Believing that we are responsible for creating Muslum terrorism is incredibly insane! It's like saying we are responsible for the NAZIs, or the Crusades (a reaction to Muslum aggression, BTW).

It ignores centuries of history, hatred, and vehement satanic teachings.

Wow! That takes a while to sink in. This article supports just about everything President Bush has done on the War on Terror.

-it is wise to cultivate change in the Middle East.

-if you'll notice a map, Afghanistan and Iraq are nice places to initiate such change. Get the dominoes moving!

-this effort is a world wide task and will take decades.

-and yes, our friends in Israel are smack-dab in the midst of it.

All this means we can't elect any weak republicans or ant-christian demonrats to office, for our sake and the Israelis'.
