Washington officials, with strong support from Louisiana officials and citizens, believe Mayor Nagin's abilities and vast know how in relief efforts would be better utilized in helping the Pakistanis recover from their great tragedy. Said one New Orleans local when told of the news, "my whole neighborhood will be there to make sure he gets on that plane." Benefits from Mayor Nagin's expertise are already being felt, said Mayor Nagin, "I have seen satellite images of the devastated Pakistani areas and I noticed hundreds of camels, riderless, ready to rescue distressed people from their homes, yet there were no Pakistani government camel riders to lead the would-be refugee caravans away from the disaster zone." Pledged Mayor Nagin, "I will get to the bottom of this!"
